My First & Second Lilly Pulitzer Post!

The picture on the top was in March of this year at the Carolina Cup. It's a Derby here in South Carolina. It was my second Derby but first time at the Carolina Cup. I had a really great time! It's from the Lilly Pulitzer Spring Collection released earlier in the year. It ran me $188. I usually don't spend alot of money on clothing but I make exceptions for Lilly :) It's the Julianna dress. It fit perfectly because it stretched. Lilly dresses are often cut for small people with small bust and hips but I lucked up with this beauty! I wore it with gold Jack Rogers, they were $105. I'm also wearing a monogrammed clutch (sorry you cannot see it!) I've worn this dress about three times and each time I wear it differently. Last time, I wore a skinny orange belt and orange accessories.

The bottom picture was over the summer, in Downtown Charleston. That is a Lilly Pulitzer skirt, I purchased it during the summer of 2012 for $88. It has an elastic waist band which made it a great fit. The pink tank top is from Forever 21, it was $9.80. My necklace is gold and navy blue, I found it a few years ago from JCPenney for a mere $4! I wore my gold Jacks with this. Jack Rogers and Lilly Pulitzer go pretty well together :)

My First Fashion Post!

My First Fashion Post! Let me start off by saying, I do not wear specific brands (except Lilly of course!) but I put pieces together from different stores.
Anyways, this picture was taken in the beginning of this year, I wore this to church. I found this red blazer for a mere $12.99. Blazers are so chic yet give you that serious and sophisticated look. This is a leopard tank with ruffles courtesy of my grandmother. The skirt came from Macy's and nude pumps from Payless. They are actually not bad in quality and fit comfortably because they are made for wide feet (like my feet!). The clutch has ruffles on it too, it's Steve Madden. I love leopard with red together, I'm all about being chic and sophisticated.

I Am From

I am from the side of town with an abundance of trees, deer, and four wheelers.
I am from the country, I don't know how far my neighbors house is numerically but it's hollerin' distance.
I am from a town where everybody knows everybody.
I am from the side of town where if my grandma throws a cookout with her sweet tea, sweet potato pie, and red rice you can be sure the whole block will SHOW UP and SHOW OUT!
I am from where the seafood is so fresh because it came out the creek right next door.
I am from the home of FROGMOE STEW, season it right, add some beer to the boil, and THE GOOD TIMES WILL ROLL!
I am from Middleton Plantation, my slave ancestors took the last name of their Slavemaster.
I am from a tall, regal, and hardworking grandfather.
I am from a hard working, fashionable, and witty grandmother.
I am from a hilarious, chic, and intelligent mother.
I am from "Ova yonder", "Back dey", and "right cha".
I am from family secrets passed down from generation to generation.
I am from Chawlston, Chucktown, South Cackalack!

Where I'm from made me who I am.

Who Am I?

I put curves in a Lilly Pulitzer dress. I am a self proclaimed "Southern Belle". I am a country girl. I am the apple of my daddy's eye. I am the daughter of the highest King. I am obsessed with Duck Dynasty, especially sweet tea drinking Uncle Si. I love shopping. I mean who doesn't? I love all things pink, girly, and swirly with a touch of polka dots. I write to do lists everyday. I drive a 2012 Honda, she's black, quite fast, and her name is Nelley. I've loved and I've lost. But I've learned to love again. Princess Kate and I are cousins, three times removed...I just tan really well. I love traveling as long as there is a mall or Lilly Pulitzer store along the way. I am a Spelmanite. I love grits for breakfast and grits for dinner. I like to think I've already changed the world but I'm just getting started. I call my grandmother six times a day. I am the only child. I am not spoiled, I am aware of each of my blessings. I pray daily. I meditate weekly. I practice mindfulness. I am my biggest critic. I dance when I'm alone in my room and I dance with my books. I am from Charleston, South Carolina. I am friends with my state senator on Facebook. I love getting dolled up. I have a beautiful goddaughter, her name is Zion. If I could learn a few skills I'd love to learn how to ride horses, ballet, and masonry. I love Derby's. I've been to two of them and I'm planning for the Kentucky Derby as a college graduation gift. I love R. Kelly, Taylor Swift, Adele, Yo Gotti, Keith Sweat, Lyfe Jennings, and Mateo. I am versatile, I know there is a time and place for everything.
I have a story to tell, check back reguarly.
